After seeing a dream last night about the world being engulfed by the apocalypse, I feel strangely pulled into the world of this painting.

I know it's because of the mores of our civilization, but it does seem inappropriate that you don't see more old gods with genitalia.

The old gods seemed to be pretty comfortable with their sexuality - although I wouldn't say the new ones are devoid of such references either, just more closely wrapped in metaphors and symbols. I really wonder what happened at a certain period of history that got people so ashamed of sex all of a sudden. How did the world end in your dream?

Christianity mostly.

and on that note, its cool you added an unsheathed erect dick. many african, asian, pacific, and early european cultures revered the phallus as a symbol of power. a good example is the west african throwing knife, which features a silhouette of a rather formidable penis jutting out of the business-end

I think most abrahamic religions have this fear of sex. Of course, assuming that pagan religions were "more free" just because they had more sexual symbols might be wrong. For example, some Hindu temples are decorated liberally with erotic sculptures, yet women are severely oppressed in India today.

Both hands broken? Good lord, how did that happen?

As odd as this may sound, I had some sort of insane excited jitters when I heard that you responded to me. You've been a major influence in all of my art. Well, you and Lovecraft for my ideas and that sort of thing. Thanks for....responding! You've gotten me in trouble at school drawing Snaiad fanart, so I guess that makes up for it! Heheh...
