It's about time someone's done a proper illustration of this awe-inspiring animal.

For those of you who don't know, "Leviathan" melvillei is a giant extinct relative of the sperm whale that was specialized for an aggressive, predatory lifestyle. More info here: [link]

In retrospect, Livyatan wasn't as "original", since raptorial sperm whales were common place.

Still, like the Liopeurodon, it has an aura of pop culture mitosis.

I really wanted to do a collage of all macropredatory sperms: Aulophyseter, Orycterocetus, Acrophyseter, Zygophyseter, Brygmophyseter, etc.

amazing. I am well familiar with this beast of the deep. Excellent depiction. Based of the size of the skull fragments, it is believed that this creature could grow a little larger than a Megalodon.
